In Tzfat, the economy has been so challenged between war and lack of employment opportunities for parents that this sense of hopelessness has translated to the youth. More and more young people are dropping out of school and turning to drugs, alcohol and deviant behavior. Many parents want their children to be in structured school settings but often the costs are prohibitive, if not for tuition, for transportation, books and clothing.
