Joan Rachel Bracha Laurence brings a rich background of combining non-profit and profit experience both in the USA and in Israel. She has had undergraduate training in Behavioral Sciences from U.C. Berkeley, received an MA in Community Planning (Social and Physical) from Stanford University, and an MA in Families and Human Behavior from Skidmore College. She is a licensed hypnotherapist. She previously served as a consultant with Stanford Research Institute (S.R.I.) and was founder and president of Enshallah Developments, a land development firm that built housing projects in the Silicon Valley, California.
For the last fifteen years she has served as Executive Director of New Seed/One People One Heart who developed, managed and was resident mother to a unique family home in Tzfat, Israel implementing innovative, model, social service programs to break the cycle of abuse and create self-sufficiency among people.
Betty Bell has a diverse background in both the profit and non-profit sectors. She graduated from UCLA in political science (international relations), received an MA in marriage, family and child counseling with executive business certification from USC. She has an extensive background in child abuse prevention and treatment as well as expertise in commercial real estate and buying and selling businesses. She has devoted the last 17 years assisting businesses. As a business development consultant, she provides knowledge and resources for strategic planning, marketing, proposal writing and infrastructure retooling to increase revenue, employee effectiveness and visibility to a spectrum of businesses.
Israeli born, Dina Tevila , has provided community outreach and social services guidance for many years. Dina is accredited to deal with individuals and families in trauma. Her main focus recently has been aiding women both in troubled and abusive situations. She has been instrumental in helping many new immigrants especially those from Ethiopia. She councils and finds employment or courses to increase people's self-confidence and independence. She also coordinates needed services between welfare and government aide offices and families and persons in need.
Additionally, Dina is a licensed counselor for brides and new couples. She also links new brides with a gown lending organization, for those who cannot afford their own gown. The government social workers often seek out Dina to find creative solutions to the different problems facing many of Tzfat's families. Finally, she is regularly invited to participate in educational conferences dealing with community work.
