Wed, 11/05/2008 - 08:17--Mommy doesn't want me sharing my name, so I won't. She's sitting next to me as I write this but the words are mine. One People One Heart came to my school and asked us to give tzedaka so children in Israel can have warm clothes in the winter.
I raised $25 just with my allowance and asking mommy and daddy to help fill the tzedaka box they gave me.
Our school got a thank you from the children that were helped and I felt happy.
Read More...Wed, 11/05/2008 - 08:18--StacyI turned 12 a year ago and my mom knew Mrs. Laurence who runs the One People One Heart (OPOH) program. As part of my Bat Mitzvah commitment, I asked guests invited to my celebration to honor me with a donation to OPOH. They did just that.
My Bat Mitzvah was blessed with wonderful family, friends and celebration and we also were able to celebrate our coming together to give to those in need in Israel.
That was a real extra blessing!

Read More...Wed, 11/05/2008 - 08:19--My sister and I decided to make the ONe People One Heart project our project. My sister is 9 and I am 11.
We got some tzedaka boxes and put them in the kitchen and in our bedrooms a few months ago. We'd put extra change that mom and dad had around the house or that I had left over from lunch money in the boxes.
It was amazing how fast the boxes filled. But, just today, we had enough money to go into this website and choose a Kids for Kids story from the "Children's Causes".
