By strengthening Jewish community and unity, we can build a better world. A kind act opens one’s heart. Giving offers a person the opportunity to step away from their own needs and look to the needs of others. The ultimate aim in helping someone else is to empower them to have greater dignity and self-sufficiency.
This, in turn, can create a chain reaction of giving or a "ripple effect", multiplying blessings and kindness, “Chesed” and community unity (Achdut) that benefits everyone from the shared support.
Chain Reaction of Giving
Everyone is unique and special. Everyone also deserves dignity and respect and the opportunity to bring out their special talents and abilities towards making a better life and a better world. A word of encouragement, giving someone a chance, a caring connection – these small actions build Tikun ha Olam – Heal the World.
